Arranged and directed with the dreamlike loveliness of a Gondry movie, the “Cog Commercial” is a forgotten classic. Click to watch an elaborate dance of parts assemble themselves into a whole, all with a grace that you have hardly ever seen while waking.

This isn’t the kind of tightrope walking we see down at the fair in Puyallup. Nissan has an outstanding talent when it comes to bringing art to advertising…if we do say so ourselves!

96 Nissan Altima Defines An Era

Like classy beats and lyricism? That’s what’s promised by the rapper, QuESt, on his new album dedicated to an era and named after the car that defined it—96 Nissan Altima Music.

The Nissan Altima was so popular during the 90s—and so inexpensive for the value it provided—that it was the basic model for many a custom car. As the description of QuESt’s work says, “this was the kind of music you listen to while bumping in your 96 Nissan Altima.” Kind of makes you want to look over some used cars around Seattle. 2009 Nissan GTR Inspires 2012 Dodge Viper

The Dodge Viper is getting a rebirth after its brief demise, and we think its godfather is the Nissan GT-R.

After all, it was only a little while ago that the Nissan GT-R took the auto-world by the throat when it won Motor Trend Car of the Year for 2009.

Here’s the Motor Trend Car of the Year video of that honor and the car that inspired it.

GT-R won it for providing a terrific array of basic luxury, housed in a sports car body and priced at the kind of value Nissan is known for. GT-R proved that you didn’t have to break the bank to get a high-class sports car, and that automakers don’t have to cut corners—like with the bare-boned and noisy Viper—in order to deliver value.

Infiniti Focus on Luxury

Automotive luxury in the 21^stcentury goes well beyond leather seats and automatic climate control. Infiniti is no different. Naturally, the brand’s vehicles include such technologies as brake assist and traction control. In the past few years, however, the company has brought several unique ideas to market. Among the high tech driver aids available on some Infiniti models are the company’s Lane Departure Warning/Lane Departure Prevention systems.As the name implies, the Lane Departure system alerts the driver using an audible signal when the car is drifting over out its lane by using sensors that recognize the lines on the road.
